Plot
In the small town of Derry, Maine, seven children band together to fight a shape-shifting evil that preys on children, appearing most often as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Twenty-seven years later, the evil returns, and the group, now adults, must reunite to face their childhood nightmare once more. The novel alternates between past and present, exploring themes of childhood trauma, friendship, and the power of facing one's fears.
